Buffalo Shrimp Recipe

I am a sucker when it comes to any meal with HOT SAUCE!  Any recipe which has “buffalo” in the title makes my mouth water.  This an easy recipe that anyone could of thought of, it only has a few ingredients.  I love making this easy buffalo shrimp recipe as an appetizer while I am entertaining guest at the shore in the summer.

source: my own creation

  • Jumbo Shrimp
  • Garlic Clove
  • Butter
  • Hot Sauce (prefer Franks RedHot)
  • Olive Oil
  • Corn Starch

Start adding a little olive oil and garlic cloves into a medium or large sauce pan, either size will do, it all depends on how many pieces of Jumbo Shrimp you plan on cooking.  You would like for all of the pieces of shrimp to be touching the surface of the pan at all times. Be sure to peel and clean all of the shrimp before you start.

After you have the pan heated up and the garlic has a little color to it you can begin to throw your shrimp in the pan.

Once the shrimp has settled in the pan you can now add your favorite kind of buffalo hot sauce, any brand will do.  Be sure to check if your buffalo sauce has butter already added to it, some of of them will tell you on the label.  If not I like to add in a tbsp or two of butter.  Never said this was a healthy meal but it sure is a mouth watering one.

Continue to cook your buffalo shrimp recipe for about 10 minutes or until shrimp looks fully cooked.  Once completed you can reduce the heat and let it simmer so you can thicken the sauce with corn starch.  Anyone that is not familiar with this can take a half a cup of cold water and combined it with about a tbsp of corn starch.  Stir until diluted and then proceed to slowly pour the mixture into your hot sauce.  Be sure to stir while you slowly add your starch.  You will see it will begin to thick and coat your buffalo shrimp.
