Easy Grilled Cheese Recipe

Grilled Cheese Bites are a great and easy recipe that you hardly ever find as an appetizer.  You will be cutting up your grilled cheese sandwiches into little personal bite sizes pieces for your guest to dip with.   I like to use tomato soup, buffalo wing sauce and smooth salsa for dipping sauce.  Grilled Cheese Bites are great for when kids are attending your special occasion!

source: my own creation

  • 8 Slices of Bread
  • 8 Slices of Cheddar Cheese
  • Stick of Butter
  1. Being by preheating your skillet or pan to medium high heat.
  2. I like to use thick Texas Toast bread but any kind of bread will work.  You will first have to start off by GENEROUSLY spreading the butter on only one side of your bread.  You can place the butter in the microwave for about 10 seconds to soften it a bit.
  3. Next step is to place a piece of cheese on the non-buttered side of the bread.  Place the buttered side face down onto the pan.  Place two pieces of bread/cheese together to form a sandwich.  Grill in the pan until the side is nicely golden and then flip.
  4. If the bread is cooking faster then the cheese is melting you can lower the temperature a bit or even place a large lid over the sandwich to help capture the steam to make a little hot pocket to help melt the cheese quicker.
  5. Once you have made 4 grilled cheese sandwiches you can cut them into bite size cubes and serve along side some dipping sauces.  Canned tomato soup, buffalo wing sauce and smooth salsa are my favorite.

Enjoy your Grilled Cheese Bites.
