Macaroni and Cheese Recipe

Macaroni and Cheese, its the perfect dish. It can be eaten as whole meal or as a side dish. You can even make hundreds of different version of Mac and Cheese by adding any kind of ingredient to it.  This recipe is just an easy homemade macaroni and cheese recipe.

  • 1 lb macaroni (elbows or anything about that size)
  • 2 c milk
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 1/4 c American cheese (grated)
  • 1 1/4 c Sharp Cheddar (grated)
  • salt
  1. Start by preheating the over to 400 degrees.
  2. Cook the macaroni.
  3. Spray the dishes or pan with non-stick spray.
  4. Lets get started with the cheese by melting the butter in medium to large pan or pot.  Once melted, add the flour and stir until all of the butter is absorbed.
  5. Next, we can go ahead and add the hot milk, make sure it is hot and not boiling.  Cook this for about 3 or 4 minutes and constantly stir.
  6. Add 1 cup of both cheeses and stir until everything is completely smooth.
  7. Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese.  Pour everything into the casserole dish and spread the remaining cheese on top.
  8. Back for about 20 minutes
