Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

Soft chewy oatmeal cookies! Some reason when the colder weather comes around I tend to crave homemade oatmeal cookies as a night time snack. Everyone loves cookies, and if you haven\’t had any oatmeal cookie, be sure to give this recipe a try!

  • 8 Lbs Brown Sugar
  • 2 Lbs Butter – softened
  • 1 1/4 oz Salt
  • 5 Lbs Rolled Oats
  • 6 Lbs Flour
  • 16 oz Milk
  • 2 Lbs Shortening
  • 2 oz Vanilla
  • 3 1/2 oz Baking Powder
  • 4 Lbs Craisins
  • 2 oz Baking Soda
  • 16 Large Eggs
  1. Preheat your oven at 400 degrees.
  2. In a blender, mix your butter, shortening, brown sugar and vanilla. Gradually add your eggs.
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients you just sifted into the blender. Once your batter forms, slowly add the milk.
  5. Finally add the craisins oats to the batter! Spoon on to a cookie sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes til done!

    I like craisins. What I also like to do is to add both golden raisins and raisins in my oatmeal cookies.

    16 eggs and 2 lbs of shortening? how many cookies is this supposed to yield?!?
