
Rice Pudding Recipe
Rice Pudding is a simple dessert which most people will enjoy, it has a lot of flavor and contains different textures. This rice pudding in a bit unique because of the bourbon ingredient.

- Rice Pudding
- 4 1/2 c milk
- 2 tea bourbon
- 2 tea vanilla extract
- 1 c short-grain rice
- 3/4 c sugar
- 1/4 tea salt
- 1 large egg
- 2/8 tea powdered nutmeg
- Cinnamon Sugar Mixture
- 1 tbl cinnamon
- 1/4 c sugar
- First start off with a heavy sauce pan, mix the milk, rice, nutmeg, sugar and salt. Bring it all up to a boil and stir occasionally.
- Once boiling, reduce heat and allow it to simmer uncovered. Let it simmer until rice is tender and mixture starts to thicken, approximately 20-25 minutes. Skim any foam which will rise to the surface.
- Once you think the rice is tender stir in one beaten egg and cook for an additional 2 or 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and bourbon and then chill in the refrigerator.
- Before serving sprinkle the rice pudding with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
