Easy Egg Sandwich
Last night I had some left over french bread and haven’t had a good filling breakfast in a long time. I decide to try and make this new scrambled egg open face sandwich that ended up turning out to be a great meal. Makes 2 sandwiches.
source: my own creation
- 6 Large Eggs (2 whole and 4 egg whites)
- 1/8 c Milk
- Salt
- Pepper
- French Bread
- Butter
- Garlic Powder
- Cheese (any kind wish)
- First start off by scrambling 2 whole eggs and 4 egg whites together. Do not forget to mix in your milk too. After everything is mixed together you can go ahead and season it with some salt and pepper.
- Use a nonstick pan and heat it on low. I always cook my scrambled on eggs on low. They will take longer time to cook but always end up to be softer and fluffier looking.
- While your scrambled eggs are cooking you can begin by toasting your french bread in a conventional oven or under the broiler of your stove. I normally cut the bread into 6 inch sections. Before toasting, butter your french bread and sprinkle it with a little garlic powder.
- After your scrambled eggs are finish, you can lay the egg on top of your freshly toasted french bread and sprinkle with cheese. I like to broil the sandwich again in order to melt the cheese!
- Top it off with ketchup, hot sauce or anything you desire.
